Compassionate Mental Health Care for Children

Since 1897, Marillac has healed the broken hearts and spirits of children in Kansas City and its surrounding communities. Our seventeen-acre facility is a safe haven for children with special emotional and behavioral needs.

Who We Are

Marillac provides psychiatric hospitalization, residential treatment, and therapeutic education for children up to age seventeen. Our compassionate, trauma-informed treatment approach helps children recover and reclaim their lives. Marillac's services include the following:

Marillac Adopts The Sanctuary Model

Marillac is the first facility in the state of Kansas to implement The Sanctuary Model. Founded by Dr. Sandra Bloom, Sanctuary is a trauma-informed method for creating or changing an organizational culture in order to more effectively provide a cohesive context within which healing from psychological and social traumatic experience can be addressed.
